OIH was born at Grand Front Osaka six years ago, and has been engaged in management of workshops overseas and operation of the international conference “Hack Osaka”, and promotion of open innovation. About 300 startups and related players are registered with OIH, and are supported by over 700 partner　members. It forms an ecosystem to help facilitate communication between members and companies through pitch events, hackathons, ideathons and mentors. OIH holds more than 250 events a year and is introduced in Forbes Japan as an outstanding innovation hub in Japan. The next “Hack Osaka” is due on 27 February 2020 to share the Innovation City Osaka with the rest of the world.
