Hack Osaka 2023（February 21, 2023）

Since it was a “physical / in person” event, we also held a Startup Showcase, inviting domestic and international startups. The main focus of our effort was to convey pertinent information about the startup ecosystem here in the Kansai region.
The growth of the startup industry in Osaka, Kyoto, and Kobe city was discussed by notable people from within the startup ecosystem.

The largest pitch competition of the event was the “Hack Award,” which included 9 international startups from around the globe, pitching from the main stage.
An additional benefit of participating was that, they also had the opportunity to have “business meetups” with established Japanese companies.

We also set up a “Shout-out Stage” allowing the exhibitors to pitch to visitors and various media companies, in hope of luring interested parties with their innovative products and services.

We also organized a one on one session called “Speed Dating,” wherein exhibitors gained direct access to venture capitalists and established companies. All the exhibitors had a chance to pitch and meet the investors through the exhibition.
For the last two years we held “Hack Osaka” digitally due to the pandemic, but finally – this year we could actually have a physical event for the first time in three years.
The event drew over 500 people from around the globe, and allowed people to connect, as well as “re-connect” with each other.

The scope and breadth of our startup community is expanding both locally and globally, even more than ever before!
